"You're wrong" means "I don't understand you"—I'm not seeing what you're seeing. But there is nothing wrong with you, you are simply not me and that's not wrong.

I always seem to be feeling either superior or inferior, one up or one down, better off or worse off than everyone else. The superior moments are elating, but the rare and blessed moments are when I feel equal

There is no such thing as "best" in a world of individuals.

Why this need to divide up, classify and neatly package every new acquaintance? For me to try to classify something so complex as an individual human being merely demonstrates my own shallowness. A judgement of another person is an abstraction that adds qualities that are not there and leaves out what is unique about him. If I classify someone I turn him into a thing. The only way for me to contact this other person is to experience him, not think about him.

This: It is such a chore to talk to Bil Why is he such a drag?

Versus this: I make such a chore for myself when I talk to Bill. How do I make it so hard?
